What Is CoolMini™?
CoolMini™ is a recently developed CoolSculpting® applicator designed to non-invasively destroy stubborn pockets of fat in smaller areas of the body, most notably underneath the chin and around the neck. Cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this innovative device can often be an excellent alternative to neck liposuction for men and women who are interested in treating the appearance of a “double chin” but do not need and/or desire to undergo a surgical procedure to achieve their aesthetic goals.
During the procedure, the CoolMini™ applicator is used to deliver controlled cooling into targeted fat buildups, effectively freezing fat cells in the treatment area without causing harm to surrounding tissues. These fat cells will then slowly break down over time, eventually leaving the body via natural processes. Since needles and/or incisions are not necessary for treatment, the vast majority of patients are able to resume normal daily routines and activities without any recovery or downtime, and final results generally become apparent within approximately two to four months. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes a nutritious diet and regular exercise, the slimmer, more toned under-chin and neck contour achieved with CoolMini™ can often be enjoyed for many years to come.
