A body lift is a comprehensive surgical procedure that can simultaneously address areas such as the abdomen, buttocks, and outer thighs. The procedure is designed to eliminate loose, excess skin and tighten the remainder, ultimately giving your midsection and lower body a firmer and more toned look.
Many patients who opt for this procedure from our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Christopher Godek, have experienced significant weight loss. This treatment can be particularly beneficial for those who have had bariatric surgery. A body lift removes any excess skin or remaining fat deposits so that patients can refine their body contours and attain the shape they have worked so hard to achieve.
Below, we have highlighted several procedures that are often combined as part of a body lift in order to recontour your appearance and help you improve a number of areas that may not be responsive to diet and exercise. We encourage you to read through the brief explanations for each treatment, as well as follow the links to learn more about your options. Tummy tuck surgery, or abdominoplasty, can be a great option for individuals who are bothered by excess skin and fat located in the abdominal region. During this procedure, loose, hanging skin is excised, stubborn fat is removed, and abdominal musculature is tightened/repaired for a more toned and sculpted appearance.
Liposuction is used to eliminate localized fat accumulations that remain immune to a healthy diet and regular exercise routine. Often employed to complement the results of other body contouring treatments, this procedure can be performed in the abdomen, flanks, back, buttocks, thighs, and numerous other areas of the body.
Breast lift surgery is performed to rejuvenate the shape and position of the breasts. Medically referred to as mastopexy, this procedure involves the removal of excess skin, lifting and recontouring of tissues, and resizing/repositioning of the nipple areolar complexes (if necessary). Breast lift surgery can also be combined with breast augmentation to restore lost volume and/or enhance the size of the breasts.
Also known as butt augmentation, buttock enhancement is designed to improve the contour of one’s backside using a combination of buttock implants and liposuction. With this treatment, Dr. Godek can strategically add volume to targeted areas of the buttocks while refining the overall shape for a well-proportioned, more curvaceous appearance.
Fat Transfer to the Buttocks
Fat transfer to the buttocks, also called a Brazilian butt lift, is an advanced procedure that utilizes a patient’s natural tissues to enhance the volume and shape of their backside. During this procedure, liposuction is first employed to harvest excess fat cells from one or multiple region(s) of the body, such as the abdomen, back, or thighs. Once a sufficient amount of fat is collected, Dr. Godek carefully processes and purifies the tissue before meticulously reinjecting it into targeted areas of the buttocks until an optimal contour is achieved.
Thigh lift surgery can be an excellent treatment for individuals who have an accumulation of extra skin and fat in the inner and/or outer thighs. This procedure is customized to remove lax, redundant skin and localized fat deposits, helping to achieve a slimmer, more toned upper leg contour.
