Home/Body Contouring/Avéli™

aveliAvéli™ is an innovative procedure that can address an extremely common and frustrating skin condition: cellulite. This minimally-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment from Revelle Aesthetics is designed to effectively reduce the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thighs of adult women by targeting the root causes of the condition, ultimately helping to give the skin a smoother look after only one treatment session. With Avéli™, our experienced treatment providers here at the Personal Enhancement Center can reduce signs of cellulite utilizing a procedure that does not require extensive downtime!

What Is Avéli™?

Avéli™ is a minimally-invasive procedure designed to diminish the appearance of cellulite on the thighs and buttocks. Cellulite forms when connective tissue bands (“septa”) pull the skin down and cause localized dimples and depressions to form. Avéli™ utilizes a small device inserted into the area of cellulite which severs these bands and releases them. By directly targeting these connective tissue bands, Avéli™ can help the skin become more even and smooth.

What Are the Benefits of Avéli™?

It has been estimated that 85% of women over the age of twenty are affected by cellulite. This condition can affect individuals of virtually all shapes and sizes, and typically does not respond to diet and exercise routines. Fortunately, Avéli™ offers a state-of-the-art way to effectively reduce signs of cellulite and give the skin a smoother, healthier appearance. The potential benefits of Avéli™ include:

During your initial consultation, we will evaluate your skin, talk with you about your options, and help you determine whether Avéli™ is the best treatment for your needs and goals. If this procedure is right for you, our provider will develop a customized treatment plan designed to effectively reduce cellulite and give your skin a beautifully smoother appearance.

The Personal Enhancement Center also offers a number of non-surgical cosmetic enhancement and cosmetic surgery treatments that can be added to the treatment plan for patients who are interested in addressing additional aesthetic concerns. We will be happy to talk with you about your goals and develop a personalized plan designed to meet your needs.

What Does the Avéli™ Procedure Involve?

To begin the Avéli™ procedure, a local anesthetic will be applied in the targeted area of cellulite to minimize discomfort. After you are fully numb and comfortable, the handheld Avéli device will be gently guided under the skin, where it will target the particular septa bands causing signs of cellulite in a specific area. The device can then sever and release the bands. The Avéli technique is designed in such a way that allows our provider to verify that the problem septa bands have been released as the treatment is performed, increasing the potential for greater accuracy and effective results.

While the total treatment time will depend on the size and number of areas being addressed, the procedure can often be completed in as little as one hour for many patients.

What Can I Expect During Avéli™ Recovery?

Most patients can expect some degree of bruising, mild soreness, and possible fluid drainage in the treatment areas after the Avéli™ procedure; however, these effects should dissipate over time. Extensive downtime is not typically necessary after Avéli™treatment. In fact, many patients are able to resume non-strenuous daily routines within the first 24 to 48 hours, depending on the size and extent of the areas that were treated. With that in mind, patients should refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise or activities for a while after treatment. Our team will provide you with detailed recovery guidelines to help ensure optimal healing.

What Can I Expect from the Results of Avéli™?

The full results from Avéli treatment should begin to become visible within one month following the procedure.
