JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

Composed of a softer, smoother hyaluronic acid (HA) solution, this injectable treatment is uniquely formulated to create a subtler, more natural appearing enhancement than similar fillers, and the results can last a year—if not longer—for the majority of patients. With JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC, our skilled injectable providers can help you minimize perioral aging symptoms and/or accentuate both the definition and fullness of the lips with no need for frequent touch-up treatments.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC Treatment

Due to its HA composition—which is a substance found naturally in the body—there is no allergy testing required prior to treatment with JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC. During the procedure, the filler solution will be injected into targeted areas of the lips and/or perioral region using a fine needle. Once administered, the specialized gel works to subtly improve volume for an enhanced aesthetic that does not appear unnatural and/or exceedingly augmented. Throughout treatment, there is typically little to no discomfort experienced thanks to lidocaine, a local anesthetic contained in the JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC solution. Depending on each patient’s specific needs and desires, the entire procedure usually takes about 30 minutes to complete, making it an excellent option for those who wish to receive treatment on their lunch break.

Recovery from JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

Immediately after treatment, some minor swelling, redness, and/or bruising may be apparent, though these side effects should resolve relatively quickly. Any pain or discomfort is rare, and most individuals can resume normal daily activities immediately. Typically noticeable right away, the results of JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC tend to last one year—sometimes longer—for the majority of patients. In order to maintain an optimal outcome thereafter, retreatment is generally recommended.
