Blepharoplasty Surgery
Eyelid surgery, generally known as blepharoplasty, is a common procedure at our New Jersey practice. Our surgeon has exceptional experience and knowledge in this cosmetic surgery procedure. During the blepharoplasty procedure, the surgeon will make a few small incisions, strategically placed in the upper eyelid creases or the inside of the eyelid, depending on the type of procedure. Next, excess fat and loose skin will be removed from the area. The incision will then be closed via a suture that will stay in place for a few days to allow for proper healing. Our surgeon has an artistic touch, so patients can rest assured that he will do what he can to minimize scarring.
Blepharoplasty at our New Jersey practice typically takes one to two hours to complete depending on the extent of the surgery. During your initial consultation, we will determine which eyelids need to be repaired, and you will learn more about the procedure and healing time.
After Your Eyelid Lift Procedure
Healing time after blepharoplasty is about one to two weeks. Swelling and bruising are common side effects, though they normally dissipate within a week. Again, healing time will depend on the type of surgery performed, whether it involved upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both.
