Accounting for the fact that about 30 to 40 percent of fat cells will be reabsorbed by the body after the transfer, our plastic surgeon usually injects extra fatty tissue into the buttocks to help ensure an optimal final outcome. The fat that is not reabsorbed takes root and attaches to a blood supply in the buttocks, effectively becoming a permanent addition for long-lasting results.

To begin the Brazilian butt lift treatment, our doctor will first utilize liposuction to remove excess fatty tissue from the area(s) of the body that were identified and agreed upon at the time of the consultation. Once a sufficient quantity is obtained, the fat will be filtered, cleansed, and carefully reinjected into the buttocks in strategic locations until the desired volume and contour is achieved.
